Cheesy Cheddar Mac & Cheese

  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 2 tbsps flour
  • 1 tbsp Maille® Dijon Original Mustard
  • 3 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 packages Knorr® Cheesy Cheddar Pasta Side
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  1. Preheat oven to 425

  2. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add flour and whisk until blended and a paste forms, about 1 minute.

  3. Whisk in mustard until blended. Slowly whisk in half of the milk and all of the heavy cream, until well blended. Whisk in remaining milk and bring to a boil over medium high heat.

  4. Stir in 2 packages Knorr® Cheesy Cheddar Pasta and return to a boil. Reduce heat and continue cooking 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.

  5. Remove from heat and stir in garlic powder, black pepper, then ½ cup cheese. Transfer to 9-in. square baking dish.

  6. Toss remaining ½ cup cheese with paprika. Sprinkle evenly over top of pasta.

  7. Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and well browned.

  8. Let cool 3 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
