Heat a large sauce pot with oil on medium- high heat. Add the onion and carrots, and cook, stirring frequently until the vegetables are softened and the onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add chopped garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
Add the beef to the pot. Cook, browning the meat on all sides. Break up the meat mixture into dime sized granules, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes and chopped beef tomato. Add water and bring to a boil. Add beef paste.
Season with Italian Herb Seasoning blend. Reduce to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 20 – 30 minutes. Finish the sauce by adding freshly chopped basil.
Serve with your favorite pasta. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Combine garlic, dried herb blend and 2 tsp Knorr Chicken Flavor Base in bowl; rub mixture on chicken to coat completely.
Heat 1 Tbsp oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken, turning occasionally until browned, about 4 minutes. Remove to plate and set aside.
Heat remaining 2 tsp oil in same skillet and sauté rice until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Add water and remaining Knorr Chicken Flavor Base and bring to a boil.
Stir in tomatoes and spinach. Place chicken on top; cover and continue cooking until the water is fully absorbed, rice is tender, and chicken is fully cooked, about 18 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.
