Shrimp are one of the most versatile kinds of seafood and can therefore be prepared in lots of different ways. Whether you choose to grill them, boil them, or stir-fry them, you really can’t go wrong. Here are some useful cooking tips so that no matter which method you choose, you’ll end up with a delicious shrimp dish.
Grilled Shrimp
One of the quickest ways to cook shrimp is to throw them on the grill. In order to give them the best flavor, be sure to season the shrimp before putting them on the grill. Use Knorr® Meat and Vegetable Seasoning and a bit of salt to give your shrimp a global, delicious flavor. Try Taste of Japan, Taste of the Middle East, or Taste of Korea.
Boiled Shrimp
Boiling shrimp is another easy way to make a delicious shrimp dish. Be sure that the shrimp is completely covered by the water or broth they’re boiling in.
Another tip to boost the flavor of your boiled shrimp is to add Knorr® Shrimp Flavor Bouillon to the water so that the shrimp absorb the flavor while they cook. You’ll know when the shrimp are done cooking when the thickest part of the meat starts to turn opaque and some of the shrimp begin to float.
Stir-Fried Shrimp
Another great way to eat shrimp is stir-fried and served with rice. However, getting the shrimp tender and flavorful requires a few tricks. First, make sure you’ve seasoned the shrimp with one of our Knorr® Meat and Vegetable Seasonings. Then, spread a little oil or butter in the pan so that the shrimp don’t stick. The key to tender shrimp is making sure that the pan and oil (or butter) are hot before adding in the shrimp. Lastly, leave some space in between the shrimp as they’re frying for them to cook evenly. You’ll know the shrimp are ready when they change color. Serve with rice and enjoy!
