When cooking a home, you always want to feel prepared for any meal. Here are a few tips for making sure that your kitchen is always organized and stocked with fresh-tasting food.
Freezer as the New Pantry
It’s hard (and expensive!) to keep your home stocked with high-quality fresh foods. Your freezer is the best way to keep prepared meals tasting fresh and to store cooked leftovers for another day.
Frozen vegetables are a great substitution for fresh and are often more affordable. They are frozen at the peak of their freshness to help retain beneficial nutrients. Frozen vegetables also offer portion control, season on your own and cook quickly – no need to peel or wash or chop.
With a little extra time on our hands, it is a great time to chop meat or chicken into smaller pieces and put them into zipper style baggies to freeze for another time. Using smaller pieces minimizes the defrosting time.

Don’t have a freezer? Stock Your Pantry
If you don’t have a freezer or your freezer is stocked to capacity, here is a list of a few key ingredients that you can keep in your pantry that will go a very long way.
Tip #1: Onions & garlic. They don’t need to be refrigerated and add great, fresh flavor to any dish.
Tip #2: Stock up on beans, rice, pasta, canned tomato sauce, tuna, crackers and canned vegetables and fruits. These goods tend to have longer expiration dates that do not require immediate preparation and can last several months in your pantry.
Tip #3: Use your favorite Knorr Side dishes for more than just a simple side. Add it to any soup, stuff it into taco shells, or bake in a greased muffin tin for mini quiches. For even more creative ways to make a meal using Knorr Sides and what you have in your pantry, check out our Pantry Pals!
Tip #4: Keep Knorr Bouillon on hand and you will have the perfect base for any soup! Our website has tons of soup recipe ideas. Or check out our Bouillon Pantry Pals for quick and easy ways to make a flavorful meal. Enjoy!
