Please read these terms of use (“Terms”) carefully before engaging with our AI Tool.  These Terms are intended to inform users of the limitations and usage guidelines of our Knorr Recipe Builder (“AI Tool”) provided by Conopco, Inc. d/b/a Unilever (“us”, “we”) on our website.  The user (“you”, “your”) is defined as the person using the AI Tool. 

By accessing this AI Tool and interacting with it, you agree to these terms and conditions with us regarding your use of the AI Tool and the information shared when using it. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using the AI Tool. 

General Information 

The AI Tool is a resource which helps users with ways to reduce their household food waste and inspires users with recipes using food available in their households. Users share the contents of their fridge by uploading videos and photos or manually sharing ingredients. The AI Tool suggests various recipes based on your ingredients and makes personalized recommendations relating to our products. These recipes can be filtered to align with user preferences, such as dietary choices.  

The AI Tool is provided for entertainment purposes only. 

Liability

While we strive to provide accurate information through the AI Tool, we cannot guarantee the accuracy and/or the completeness of the information provided. The AI Tool may, at times, provide information that is inaccurate, so we encourage you to verify any information provided by the AI Tool before taking any action or making any decisions based on the information received. We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees in relation to the availability, suitability continuity, reliability, accuracy, currency or security of this AI Tool or the information it provides.   We, our officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies, and representatives do not accept any liability regarding the information provided and cannot be held liable for any actions, losses, or damages (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise) resulting from your use of the AI Tool. 

Your use of the AI Tool

The use of the AI Tool is intended for persons over 18 years of age. 

By using the AI Tool you agree (1) to use the AI Tool for its intended purposes only – to receive personalized recipes based on your ingredients; (2) not to post, send or share defamatory, offensive, intimidating, illegal, racist, discriminatory, obscene, harmful or inappropriate content in any form through the AI Tool (3) not to use the AI Tool to conduct illegal or immoral activities; (4) not to attempt to compromise the security of the AI Tool or access confidential information related to the service; (5) not to copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the AI Tool or any part of it; and (6) not to include material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights (including, without limitation, trademark, privacy and publicity rights) unless you are the owner of such rights or have express permission from their rightful owner to post the material and to grant the rights granted herein. 

Third Parties

Our AI Tool is powered by third-party AI technology including Gemini. Third party services and/or any output generated from them are subject to their own terms including acceptable use policies and we are not responsible for them. 

Availability

This AI Tool is provided on an “as is” “where is” basis. We expressly reserve the right to modify, add or delete individual or all AI Tool functionalities without notice, or to discontinue the AI Tool temporarily or permanently and we provide no guarantee for the uninterrupted accessibility of the AI Tool.

Data Privacy 

We do not intend to collect personal data when you use the tool. Please ensure faces, body parts, or other information such as medicines are not captured by the tool.  

We will not use your uploaded materials to train our AI Tool or any other third-party models. We will retain your uploaded material for a period of six months and may use some of the material to review the performance of our AI Tool.

We have implemented technical controls to recognise only the relevant parts of the content uploaded and to de-identify any personal data that may be inadvertently captured. For more information on how we handle personal data, please see our privacy notice. 

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All disputes relating to these terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York regardless of conflict of law rules. You and Knorr consent to the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, or if such court does not have jurisdiction, in the courts of the State of New York located in New York County.
