Organic Spicy Beef Jerk One Pot

Slow-cooked tender beef in a rich and creamy jerk sauce, this one-pot beef recipe is to die for.

  • 1 Knorr Organic Beef Stock Pot
  • 700 g beef shin chopped into 2 cm pieces
  • 800 ml water
  • 300 ml 0% fat crème fraîche
  • 360 g cooked rice
  • 2 onions diced
  • 2 tbsp jerk spice paste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • a handful of coriander

  1. Dice 700g of beef shin (into 2cm pieces) and dice 2 onions.

  2. Heat the oil in an oven-proof pan. Add the beef shin, diced onions and jerk spice paste and cook until softened (and the beef has browned).

  3. Make up 1 Knorr Organic Beef Stock Pot with 800ml of hot water, pour into the pan and bring to the boil.

  4. Cover the dish and cook in the oven at 140C for 2 and a 1/2 hours, or until the beef is soft and tender.

  5. Remove the lid and cook for a further 30 minutes or until it has reduced to a stew.

  6. Remove the dish from the oven and stir in the creme fraiche. Simmer if the sauce still needs to thicken some more.

  7. Serve with rice and a sprinkling of coriander leaves.
