  • 10 grams Knorr Reduced Salt Vegetable Stock Cube
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 grams cayenne pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 30 g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 400 g raw peeled king prawns
  • 250 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 lemons

  1. Mix the Knorr Vegetable Stock Granules, breadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, garlic and parsley together and place on a plate.

  2. Place the flour on a separate plate and the beaten egg in a bowl.

  3. Dust the prawns in the flour and shake off the excess. Dip them into the egg wash and finally into the breadcrumbs.

  4. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan until hot (approx. 160°C if you have a frying thermometer).Carefully add the prawns to the hot oil and cook for about 20–30 seconds, turning constantly until golden brown.

  5. Remove the prawns and drain on kitchen paper.

  6. Serve garnished with lemon wedges and some freshly chopped parsley and basil if desired. Delicious with a mixed salad and chunky chips.
