  • 5 g Knorr Vegetable Stock Cube
  • 400 g good quality sausage meat
  • 225 g breadcrumbs
  • 20 g butter
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage leaves or 2-3 tsp dried
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 small egg
  • zest of 1/2 lemon (optional)
  • Black pepper

  1. Fry the onion in the butter until softened. Add the stock cube to dissolve. Coarsely chop the herbs and add to the pan.

  2. Once the stock cube has dissolved completely, add the breadcrumbs and mix them together. Add in the sausage meat, egg, lemon zest and black pepper and mix well together. Spoon into a small ovenproof dish.

  3. Bake in preheated oven 180°C, 160°C fan, Gas mark 4 for around 30-40 minutes.
