  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil
  • 12 ounces (350 g) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups (1 L) water, divided
  • 2 cubes Knorr® Mushroom Bouillon Cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) fresh thyme, chopped (optional)

  1. Heat olive oil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat and cook mushrooms, stirring occasionally, until liquid has evaporated, about 10 minutes.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, stir in flour and cook, stirring, 3 minutes. Add 1 cup water and Knorr® Mushroom Bouillon Cubes and cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil and Bouillon cubes have dissolved.

  3. Add remaining water and simmer, stirring occasionally, until gravy has thickened, about 15 minutes. Stir in thyme and season, if desired, with ground black pepper.
