Precaliente el horno 325° F.

Caliente el aceite de oliva en una sartén grande a fuego medio-alto y dore las costillas. Páselas a una asadera de 13 x 9 pulgadas; póngalas a un lado.

Cocine la cebolla a fuego medio-alto durante 4 minutos aproximadamente o hasta que esté blanda. Agregue el ajo y cocine por 30 segundos. Incorpore el vinagre, raspando los trocitos dorados del fondo de la sartén. Incorpore el agua y los 3 ingredientes siguientes hasta que estén cremosos. Vierta la salsa sobre las costillas. Cúbralas con papel de aluminio. Hornéelas durante 2 horas o hasta que las costillas estén tiernas. Quite la grasa que quedó en la asadera.
