  • Hae Mee Tng pasta Ingredients
  • 1 kg of whole prawns with shells and heads on
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and cut into large chunks
  • 10 shallots
  • 50 g gula melaka
  • 60 g dried prawns
  • 60 g dried oysters
  • 60 g dried ikan bilis
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon white peppercorns
  • 3 star anise
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 litres water
  • 3 cubes chicken stock cube

  1. In a large pot, place all the ingredients and bring to a boil

  2. Let it simmer for 1 hour

  3. Add the fresh prawns to the pot and cover it with a lid and turn off the heat

  4. Let it steep for 15 minutes
