  • 4 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 pcs Knorr Shrimp Cubes
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 tbsp atsuete
  • 1 pc eggplant, sliced
  • 5 pcs sitaw, sliced
  • 1 pc banana heart, sliced
  • 1 pc petchay Tagalog
  • ½ kg shrimps
  • ½ cup bagoong alamang

  1. Let’s begin by mixing the rice flour with water and bring this to a boil. Slowly turn the heat to a simmer.

  2. Drop in the Knorr Shrimp Cubes and peanut butter then stir gently.

  3. Get a pan nice and pour in atsuete seeds and oil. Allow to sizzle until the seeds extract their color. They should turn dark. Now, get a strainer and discard the seeds. Next, into the pot of boiling rice flour goes the atsuete oil.

  4. Gently add eggplant, sitaw, banana heart, pechay and the shrimps. Now let this simmer for 15 minutes and that’s our dish. With Kare Kareng Hipon, served with bagoong on the side, you need not feel guilty. Eat as much as you want!
