Egg Adobo

This dish uses the traditional Adobo style sauce, which uses soy sauce and chicken broth flavors, as a marinate for hard boiled eggs.

  • 3 pcs eggs
  • 1 pc onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 pc Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch of pepper

EGG ADOBO
  1. In a medium size pot, add the eggs then add enough water to cover the eggs. Place the pan over high heat and let the eggs boils for 8-10 mins. Once timer is done, remove the eggs from the heat and transfer them to a large bowl with ice cold water. This will stop the cooking process and make the eggs shells easier to remove.

  2. In a different pan, let's make the adobo marinate. Start by adding oil and sauté the onions until soft and brown. Add in the soy sauce, water and crushed Knorr Chicken cube. Set it to boil and continue to heat until all ingredients are fully dissolved. Remove from heat, and let it cool down.

  3. Once the marinate is already warm, gently add the boiled egg and let it stay in the adobo sauce for at least 5 mins. Cut the eggs in half before serving.
