You wanna know what Kimus is? It’s a meatball made with ground pork, a variety of vegetables and spices that’s steamed instead of fried. You want to know what makes this so good? It’s seasoned with Knorr Liquid Seasoning and Knorr Beef Cubes. It’s addicting!

  • For Palapa:
  • 1 cup shallots
  • 1 large ginger, peeled and minced
  • 20 pcs. red chili pepper, minced
  • Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • salt
  • (mix and pound all ingredients together in a mortar and pestle)
  • For Beef Kimus:
  • 1 kilo ground beef
  • 1 whole coconut meat, grated (niyog or coconut used for milk and cream)
  • 1 cup carrots, small diced
  • 2 stalks onion leeks, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 white onion, peeled and minced
  • 2 tbsp. palapa
  • 2 tbsp. turmeric
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 piece Knorr Beef Cube
  • Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Let's Get Cooking

  • 1 Let’s begin by diluting Knorr Beef Cube in 3 tbsp vegetable oil then set this aside.
  • 2 Get a large mixing bowl and combine the ground beef, garlic, carrots onion, onion leeks, palapa mixture, grated coconut meat and diluted Knorr Beef cube. Mix and pound thoroughly until the mixture turns yellow in color and has a dough like consistency. While mixing, sprinkle some Knorr Liquid Seasoning, salt and pepper as well.
  • 3 Take a hand full of the beef mixture and mold it into egg-shaped pieces. Steam the pieces for 20 minutes or until beef is cooked and that’s our dish!
