Tokwa Arroz Caldo

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 pc tofu
  • 2 clove garlic chopped
  • 1 pc onion chopped
  • 1 small ginger, sliced diagonally
  • 1 pc Knorr chicken cube
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sticky rice (malagkit rice)

  1. Let start by preparing the tofu. In a medium pot, make it nice and warm over high-medium heat, add oil and fry tofu until the skin becomes golden brown and firm. Once cooked, drain excess oil, slice into cubes and set aside.

  2. In the same pot, add the garlic, onions and ginger, and sauté until soft and aromatic.

  3. Add the rice, water and crushed Knorr Chicken cubes. Cover the pot and let the it boil. Occasionally stir just to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Simmer until rice if fully cooked.

  4. Serve hot topped with tofu cubes, and fried garlic.
