Tantanmen Recipe

This asian noodle dish combines the savory and spicy sesame broth with added chili spices, mixed with sautéed pork, ginger flavor, served with ramen noodles.

  • For the broth:
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pc 2-inch ginger, minced
  • ½ bunch spring onions, minced
  • 1/2 kg ground pork
  • 3/4 cup white sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1/2 cup Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • 6 -7 tbsp sugar
  • 6 -7 tbsp hot sauce or chili oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 pcs Knorr Pork Cube
  • Assembly:
  • Prepared broth
  • 200 g. ramen noodles, boiled and drained
  • Other Toppings (optional): boiled bean sprouts, boiled pechay (bok choy), chili sauce/oil, cooked and sliced pork belly, nori, soft-boiled eggs.

  1. You know what makes a good and delicious Ramen? It’s the broth!

  2. Let’s begin by sautéing the onion, garlic and ginger in a pre-heated pot with a little bit of oil. Cook them until the vegetables give off a nice aroma. Now throw in the pork next and sauté until slightly toasted.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and the Knorr Pork Cubes. Bring to a boil then simmer for 8-10 minutes.

  4. Now that the broth is done, serve by placing the cooked noodles in a bowl, pour some of the broth over and top it with your preferred ingredients. Your Tantanmen is now ready to be devoured. Be careful because sipping into the hot soup will cause you extreme happiness.
