  • 2 tbsps cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 pcs. medium onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger, sliced
  • ¾ kg chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 4 cups water (adjust depending on desired sourness)
  • 1 (22g) pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix with Gabi
  • 2 pcs Knorr Chicken Broth Cubes
  • ¾ cup sampalok leaves (usbong ng sampalok), removed from stem

Sinampalukang Manok
  1. Get your pot nice and hot over medium heat. Pour some oil and sauté garlic, onions, and ginger.

  2. Add the chicken pieces next and sauté until the chicken skin is nicely brown and a bit dry.

  3. Pour the water and add the Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix with Gabi and Knorr Chicken Broth Cubes.

  4. Simmer until chicken is tender. Add the sampalok leaves, and leave for a minute just before serving. With a big serving of hot rice, you can't help but eat more than usual. With a big serving of hot rice, you can't help but eat more than usual.
