Steamed Lapu-Lapu in Soy-Sesame Sauce

  • 1.5 kg Lapu-lapu, cleaned
  • 1/4 cup Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 pc onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 stalk leek, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pc carrot, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 -3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 3 tbsp water

  1. In a small bowl, mix together Knorr Liquid Seasoning Original, pepper, and sesame oil.

  2. Place lapu-lapu in a large container that fits into your steam basket and season with the mixture.

  3. Top the lapu-lapu with the onions, leeks, and carrots.

  4. Place the container inside the steam basket and let it cook for 8-10 minutes or longer depending on the size of your fish.

  5. Once cooked, transfer lapu-lapu into a serving platter. Set aside.

  6. In a small pot, mix water, light soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil over medium heat and set aside.

  7. Drizzle the steamed lapu-lapu with the sauce right before serving and enjoy!
