For Chicken Adobo

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 5 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/2 pc onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 pcs chicken thigh fillets
  • 2 pcs bay leaves
  • 1 pc Knorr chicken cube, halved
  • 1 cup water

For Ramen

  • 2 pack store-bought chicken or vegetable ramen
  • 3 pcs soft-boiled eggs, halved
  • sliced leeks
  • crunchy garlic

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onions and crushed peppercorns. Marinate chicken for at least 10 minutes.

  2. In a pan, heat oil and pan-fry marinated chicken until caramelized. Add marinade, bay leaves, half chicken cube and ½ cup water. Allow to simmer until chicken is fully cooked and sauce is syrupy. Set aside.

  3. Prepare ramen according to package directions with the addition of half chicken cube. Once cooked, divide into 3 bowls.

  4. Top with chicken adobo, sliced eggs, leeks, garlic and adobo sauce. Serve hot.
