  • Water
  • 1 tin tomato puree
  • Ground paprika
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 1 onion
  • Vegetable oil
  • Butter
  • KNORR chicken cubes
  • Cream
  • Plain yoghurt
  • Lemon juice
  • Ground turmeric
  • Medium curry powder
  • Ground cayenne pepper
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 Fresh chilli chopped
  • Ground cumin
  • Fresh ginger chopped
  • Fresh garlic chopped
  • Chicken fillet sliced

  1. Combine the yoghurt, lemon juice, turmeric, curry powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, chilli, cumin, garlic, crumbled KNORR stock cubes and ginger and mix well.

  2. Add the chicken strips and leave to marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  3. Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan, add the onion, cinnamon and bay leaf and cook for 2 minutes or until the onion softens.

  4. Reduce heat and add the chicken and marinade, tomato puree, paprika and water, and simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Add the cream and simmer for a further 10 minutes.

  6. Serve with white rice and fresh coriander.
