Italian gnocchi with rich beef sauce

  • 600 g beef chuck steak, diced
  • 1 brown onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 400 g tinned chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Knorr Rich Beef Stock Pot
  • 300 g courgette, chopped into small chunks
  • 400 g gnocchi
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes

  • 1 Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • 2 Fry the beef, in 2 batches for 5 minutes or until browned all over, transfer to a heatproof bowl.
  • 3 Heat another tablespoon oil in the same pan over medium heat and add the onion and fry until brown.
  • 4 Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • 5 Add the chopped tomatoes, Knorr Rich Beef Stock Pots and 250ml water.
  • 6 Put the beef back into the pan.
  • 7 Bring to a boil so the stock pot can dissolve. Reduce heat to low.
  • 8 Cook, covered, for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
  • 9 Add gnocchi, courgette, cherry tomatoes and cook covered for about 7 minutes or until the gnocchi is soft and tender (add a little water if you lost too much liquid during the cooking process).
