  • 10 grams Knorr Reduced Salt Vegetable Stock Cube
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 grams cayenne pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 30 g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 400 g raw peeled king prawns
  • 250 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 lemons

  • 1 Mix the Knorr Vegetable Stock Granules, breadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, garlic and parsley together and place on a plate.
  • 2 Place the flour on a separate plate and the beaten egg in a bowl.
  • 3 Dust the prawns in the flour and shake off the excess. Dip them into the egg wash and finally into the breadcrumbs.
  • 4 Heat the oil in a deep frying pan until hot (approx. 160°C if you have a frying thermometer).Carefully add the prawns to the hot oil and cook for about 20–30 seconds, turning constantly until golden brown.
  • 5 Remove the prawns and drain on kitchen paper.
  • 6 Serve garnished with lemon wedges and some freshly chopped parsley and basil if desired. Delicious with a mixed salad and chunky chips.
