Some of our stock pots contain a very small amount of barley (either as part of the malt extract or the flavourings), however this does not prevent them from being gluten free. In fact, all the ingredients used in our stock pots are gluten free, which means they all contain no more than 20 ppm (or 20mg/kg) gluten.
Labeling regulations require all ‘cereals containing gluten’ to be declared on the ingredients list, this is why barley must be highlighted. However, if the level of gluten in the product is <20ppm, the product is gluten free and therefore suitable for coeliacs, which is the case for all our Knorr stock pots.
