  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stick, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500 g lean beef mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot dissolved in 175 ml boiling water
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Mediterranean herbs
  • 400 ml pasta (optional)
  • 20 grams Parmesan and/or basil leaves to garnish (optional)

  • 1 Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and add the carrots, onion, celery and garlic. Cook on gentle heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly until the vegetables soften but do not brown.
  • 2 Add the beef and cook until browned.
  • 3 Add the tomato puree, Knorr Beef Stock, herbs and passata. Bring back to the boil, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
