  • 300 g macaroni
  • 30 g Flora Buttery
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 40 g streaky bacon rasher, chopped (optional)
  • handful of freshly chopped parsley
  • Cheese Sauce:
  • 30 g plain flour
  • 600 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 175 g mature cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 Knorr Vegetable Stock Pot
  • 30 g Parmesan cheese grated (optional)
  • Season with black pepper

  • 1 Cook macaroni according to packet instructions. Drain well.
  • 2 Meanwhile melt the Flora and sauté onion and bacon for 3-4 minutes on medium heat until cooked.
  • 3 To make the cheese sauce, melt the Flora in a large saucepan. Whisk in the flour, then add the milk and bring to boil, whisking continuously until thickened.
  • 4 Add Cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  • 5 Stir in the macaroni, onion and bacon mixture and season with Knorr Aromat.
  • 6 Pour into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan. Place under a hot grill until golden brown and bubbling.
  • 7 Serve garnished with some chopped fresh parsley.
