  • 1 Ready your ingredients, bowls and pan on your work table before starting. After this prep work, peel those onions and chop them up as finely as you can. Now, peel those cloves of garlic and chop them into small pieces. Continue your chopping groove by peeling your kalabasa and slicing them into big chunks about 1-1/2 inches thick. The vegetables are almost done at this point but we must not forget to cut those string beans evenly and neatly – 3 inches in length will do.
  • 2 Peel the onions and chop them as finely as you can. Then peel the garlic and chop into small pieces. Start peeling the kalabasa and slice it into big chunks about 1 inch thick. Lastly, cut the string beans into 3-inch lengths.
  • 3 You may now proceed to cleaning your shrimp. You won’t want those shrimp heads in your dish since it’s the dirtiest part so feel free to remove them from the shrimp body. Then, peel those shells and remove the intestines found at the back of the shrimp. We recommend using a sharp pairing knife.
  • 4 Prepare your gata by mixing 1 pack of Knorr Ginataang Gulay in 1 and ½ cup of water.
  • 5 Now you are finally ready to cook! Set your pan on the stove and turn the heat up before pouring in the oil. Slowly drop your onions and garlic and cook until they are soft, wilted and slightly browned. The mouth-watering aroma should alert you that they are ready. Next, throw the kalabasa and Knorr Ginataang Gulay mixture. Take a good one minute to simmer your pan’s contents. Then proceed with tossing in your string beans and shrimps. Simmer all this away until your vegetables are cooked through. For crunchy vegetables, let your dish cook for 5 minutes more. You may opt to boil kalabasa separately in Knorr Chicken cubes to have more flavour and then add to the dish at the last 5 minutes of cooking. In this case, your kalabasa will not be mashed up together with the other ingredients.
  • 6 Serve hot and enjoy with the whole family!
