  • 1 The key to cooking a really good Chopsuey dish is to be able to cook the meat and vegetables quickly to prevent them from getting mushy and unappetizing.
  • 2 First, you need to warm up your wok (or you may use a large “kawa”) to high and pour oil and quickly throw in the quail eggs. Saute for 2-3 minutes while continually stirring. Take quail eggs from wok and transfer on plate. Set aside.
  • 3 Throw in the onion and garlic and cook them until they give off a nice aroma.
  • 4 Toss in the pork and chicken liver and give these a quick sauté. When the pork and liver are half-cooked, throw in now the shrimps.Saute until fully cooked.
  • 5 Add the rest of the vegetables, cooking them over high heat until they are crisp. The best way to check is to pierce the vegetables and see if they’re a bit firm.
  • 6 At this point, combine water, Knorr Liquid Seasoning and cornstarch. Mix this well then pour into the wok. Continue to cook until sauce simmers and becomes thick. Add a bit of pepper. Taste and check if the flavors are well balanced.
  • 7 The wonderful blend of colors and the different textures from the meat and vegetables are both enough to make you crave for more.
