  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 pc. onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 100 g. pork, sliced
  • 50 g. shrimp
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pc. Knorr Pork or Shrimp Cube
  • 3- 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 50 g. carrots, sliced thinly
  • 50 g. green beans, sliced
  • 500 g. bihon (rice noodles)
  • 50 g. cabbage, sliced
  • black pepper, to taste
  • Serve with: calamansi chopped spring onions (optional)

  1. Get a wok and bring it up to medium heat. Pour a small amount of oil and cook the onions and garlic until you get a fragrant aroma. TIP: If you don’t have a wok, you may use a kawa (kawali) that you’ll find in your everyday kitchen.

  2. Throw in the sliced pork and sauté until it becomes light brown in color before adding the shrimp. Toss the shrimp in the hot pan for about a few seconds so as not to overcook it.

  3. Pour in the water, soy sauce, and Knorr Pork Cube or Knorr Shrimp Cube. Bring this to a simmer for about 2 minutes.

  4. You can now add the green beans and carrots before finally adding the bihon. Gently stir the mixture and simmer until the broth is absorbed by the noodles. This will only take about 5 minutes.

  5. Only one more step is needed before you can enjoy this delicious platter of pancit with your family. You just need to add the cabbage and mix well until all the ingredients are cooked through.

  6. It’s always a treat to have a bowl of calamansi and spring onions ready when eating a serving of pancit. Let this dish unite you with your loved ones in good conversation, good company and even better food!
