  • 12 ounces (350 g) sweet Italian sausage links
  • 1 cup (250 mL) water
  • 1 package Knorr Sidekicks® Creamy Bacon Carbonara Pasta Side Dish
  • 3 cups (750 mL) broccoli florets or 8 oz. broccoli rabe, cut into 1 1/2-in (4 cm)pieces

Let's Get Cooking

  • 1 Brown sausage in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, turning frequently, about 10 minutes; drain. Remove sausage and set aside until cool enough to handle, then slice.
  • 2 Bring water and milk to a boil in same skillet. Stir in Knorr Sidekicks® Creamy Bacon Carbonara Pasta Side Dish and continue boiling, covered, over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes. Stir in broccoli and sausage and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until sausage is thoroughly cooked and broccoli and pasta are tender.
  • 3 Serve, if desired, with grated Parmesan cheese.
TIP: To reduce bitterness if using broccoli rabe, blanch it then rinse with cold water before using.
TIP: To add a little spice, stir in 1/8 tsp.(0.5 mL) red pepper flakes.
