Béarnaise Classic Sauce

A classic French butter sauce seasoned with tarragon. Delicious over filet mignon, steak, fish, eggs or vegetables.

Corn starch, maltodextrin, salt, canola oil, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, onion powder, yeast extract, herb and spices, guar gum, dried parsley, colour, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate and sulphites. May contain traces of milk ingredients.

How to use

1. In saucepan over medium-high heat, melt ½ cup (125 mL) butter; whisk in package contents until blended. Remove from heat. 2. Gradually whisk in 1 cup (250 mL) milk. 3. Whisking constantly, bring to boil over medium-high heat. 4. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute whisking frequently. Makes 1 ½ cups (375 mL) sauce.

Frequently asked questions about this product

While we do not operate allergen-free manufacturing sites, we do have Allergen Management Programs in all our facilities. The intent of these programs is to avoid unintentional cross contamination of allergens between products. Our product labels adhere to Health Canada’s Regulations regarding declaration of ingredients and allergens. Unilever Canada lists common allergens on all ingredient labels if said allergens are present, including peanuts, tree nuts, soy, sesame, fish, crustaceans and molluscs, wheat and triticale, eggs, mustard sulfites/sulphites and milk, as well as any ingredient that may contain gluten.

Recipes can change. We strongly recommend that consumers with allergies refer to ingredient declarations every time they purchase processed foods.

If Unilever products are labeled as gluten-free, then they contain gluten-free ingredients and no cross-contact of ingredients during processing.
